Our Crew

Jeff Corpening

Jeff graduated cum laude with a B.F.A. in Motion Picture Production and Sociology, and has over 20 years of professional video industry experience. His work as director, writer, editor and camera operator has been featured on PBS, network affiliates and national cable outlets. His previous short film The Library won both a Finalist Award from the WorldFest Houston competition and a Silver Telly Award. In his award-winning feature-length screenplay Steve, Jeff was lauded by the Red Inkworks script competition judges “for breathing life and dimension into the character of ordinary people in crises." Jeff is a husband, and father to two wonderful children and five obnoxious yet adorable cats. His greatest regret is having failed in his quest never to own a cellular phone.

Greg Cooper

Greg is an accomplished veteran of the broadcast industry with nearly 20 years' experience in radio and television/video production. Between his professional training and his self-taught producing skills, Greg stands out for being driven and committed to the highest quality productions. Greg has produced a wide variety of television and radio programming for local and national outlets, and is actively developing several television concepts. He's also one heck of a talented voice over artist. At least that's what he says on his voice over demo.

Melissa Zenz

Though working almost exclusively behind the scenes as our financial manager, Melissa is crucial in keeping things running smoothly. Having founded and operated her own successful retail business, she is highly qualified to manage the accounting and legal affairs of Beanfilms. Though she may sound like someone who is all figures and files, she is in fact our original muse. Melissa has recently rediscovered her dog-lover's heart, adopting two wonderful new children, Anastaisia and Gidget, from the animal shelter.

James Corpening

James was trained as a research scientist in psychology and behavioral neuroscience, in which he earned his Ph.D. He has worked with Beanfilms on several projects, and has an astute eye for detail. For that reason, he is our Assistant Vice Deputy Producer, responsible for various behind-the-scenes business matters. He is a bit behind this millenium, though; unlike Jeff, he still doesn't own a cell phone, and, unlike Jeff, he thinks movies are still made on celluloid, and he doesn't pay for cable or satellite TV.
